How to play music continuously?
Hi Everyone,
I just got my Squeezebox Duet yesterday (and actually markedly distress about the receivers not being sold or out of stock).
Nevertheless, love the system but have a simple question.
When I choose an artist and start playing a track, it always stops after that particular selected track is played ... even if there are more tracks right after that.
How do I play music continuously (eg, an entire album) w/o having to choose "next track" or via a pre-selected playlist?
Appreciate any advice.
Thanks
Colin

Can you set out how you are selecting the tracks and playing the tracks (presumably using the controller) - i.e. each individual button press you make from the home menu?
Also, are these local music tracks, stored on your system, or are they online services like Napster, MP3Tunes or Rhapsody?

I selected the song by pressing the arrow button. I should have selected the song by pressing the center button : )Thanks!

Yup - that is a common issue when first starting to use the Controller. Glad you got it sorted.

I have to ask then: Having reached a track, what are the differences between pressing the centre button and pressing the right arrow?

Good question to ask as you get varying behavior depending on which button you press, whether it is local music or subscription service or whether you are using the controller vs. web UI. Frankly speaking, there is no logic I can figure out about how I should be expect the behavior I see. The functionality of how to add/play songs is a real weakpoint for logitech and is maddening to deal with. And, it changes with each release.
The attached PDF outlines the behavior in 7.4.2 depending on whether you are using a subscription service (i.e., Rhapsody) or whether it is a local file (i.e., My music) with the controller or with the web ui. It also shows the behavior when you set the setting to either play all tracks in an album vs. playing only the selected track. Finally, it differentiates whether you are connecting via squeezebox server or via mysqueezebox (an internet-based service that allows you to play internet based music even if your computer is turned off. Note: playing local files is not possible with mysb).
Enjoy the contradictions and bugs.
